Meg Lewis

Meg Lewis joined as Head 3rd Grade Teacher in August 2022. Meg worked as a sub with us for most of the 2021-2022 school year.
Prior to this, Meg was the fourth/fifth grade ELA teacher for Science, Language, and Arts International School in Brooklyn as well as a teacher for remote students in first and third grade during COVID. Before that, she served for a year as a part-time assistant teacher at High Meadow School in Stone Ridge, worked in two different schools during her Master’s work in Philadelphia, and taught English while working in Costa Rica for an educational institution. Meg also worked as office manager for five years at the Teaching Empathy Institute in Stone Ridge which focused on fostering empathy and pro-social skills through an online curriculum for teachers and students, and as a Manager of Educational Tuition Benefit and Online Human Resource Trainings at the University of Pennsylvania.
Meg received her Master of Science in Education in Reading, Writing and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania and her Bachelor’s Degree from Hampshire College. She is a certified Teaching Assistant in New York State. In her spare time, she likes to bike ride and hike in the Catskills, and listens to podcasts and audio books as she drives her kids around.
