Kristen Rigazio

Rigazio joined WDS as the MS/US Physical Education Teacher In November 2021.
Rigazio has 20 years of experience as a teacher and has worked as a student advisor for nine years. She comes to WDS after a decade of experience as a high school physical education and strength and conditioning teacher at Harlem Village Academies High School, where she spent seven years as the PE department chair. Prior to that, Rigazio worked as a physical education teacher and athletics director at Pine Cobble School in Massachusetts.
Her additional teaching experience includes teaching physical education and health at Public School 247 in Brooklyn and Brooklyn Middle School in CT. She has coached soccer, lacrosse, squash, basketball and cross country. In addition to her teaching experience, Rigazio is a certified personal trainer and coach and has also worked as a summer camp director.
Rigazio holds a Master’s degree in Childhood Education and Special Education from Touro College and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Southern Connecticut State University. She also holds a NYS Certificate in K-12 Physical Education and Health.
